Senior Honors Diploma Project: Important Dates

October 21, 2024 - RESEARCH TOPIC PROPOSAL DUE

Your proposal should be set up with the appropriate MLA  heading and title. (The title will be your project title.)  Please include the following in your proposal:

• The reason for the selection of your topic (Why are you interested)
• The purpose and objectives (What do you want to learn/find out)
• Strategies for completion (Outline your plan and your timeline)
• Potential resources/materials (Ideas about where you will find your sources-interviews, scholarly articles, books, websites, journals, etc.)

November 4, 2024 - Initial list of 3-5 scholarly sources due

November 18, 2024 - Thesis and complete list of initial scholarly sources due

November 18, 2024 thru January 5, 2025 - Work on drafting your essay

January 6th, 2025 - Research papers due; feedback will be given on depth, organization, etc.

January 21, 2025 - SECOND DRAFT DUE - Revised research papers due; feedback on details, citations, transitions

January 28, 2025 - Final research papers due

February 3, 2025 - Google slide presentation due

February 5, 2025 - Mandatory Coyote Time meeting to discuss creating backboards for the Exhibition Fair

February 6 - 14, 2025 - Practice presentations scheduled for feedback

March 3 - 13, 2025 - ORAL PRESENTATIONS 

The following dates apply if your presentation and/or visual product did NOT meet Superior Quality

March 21, 3025 - RESEARCH PAPER REVISIONS DUE

March 24-28, 2025 - RE-PRESENT ORAL AND VISUAL PRODUCTS

April 3, 2025 - SENIOR CAPSTONE EXHIBITION FAIR 7:00 PM in OTHS Café (REQUIRED EVENT)

April 9, 2025 - Snowdate for Exhibition Fair

NOTE: The Senior Exhibition Fair is a required event where you will present your research to the community.
