Senior Honors Diploma Project: Important Dates

October 13, 2023 - RESEARCH PROPOSAL DUE

Your proposal should be set up with the appropriate MLA  heading and title. (The title will be your project title.)  Please include the following in your proposal:

• The reason for the selection of your topic (Why are you interested)
• The purpose and objectives (What do you want to learn/find out)
• Strategies for completion (Outline your plan and your timeline)
• Potential resources/materials (Ideas about where you will find your sources-interviews, scholarly articles, books, websites, journals, etc.)

October 19, 2023 - MEET IN LIBRARY DURING COYOTE TIME

MEETING GOALS:

• Discussing the research process
• Using Noodletools to keep your research organized
• Overview of the resources available to you (books, databases, etc.)

HOMEWORK:

• Create your research question and add it to your Noodletools Project
• Locate 3-5 resources and add them to your Noodletools Project

October 26, 2023 - MEET IN LIBRARY DURING COYOTE TIME

• Work on your thesis statement
• Research

• Finalize list of resources

November 2, 2023 - THESIS AND INITIAL LIST OF SOURCES DUE

November 16, 2023 - MANDATORY WORK SESSION IN LIBRARY DURING COYOTE TIME

November 30, 2023 - MANDATORY WORK SESSION IN LIBRARY DURING COYOTE TIME

December 14, 2023 - MANDATORY WORK SESSION IN LIBRARY DURING COYOTE TIME

January 5, 2024 - FIRST DRAFT DUE (your paper should be completed by this date)

January 26, 2024 - SECOND DRAFT DUE (your second draft will include the comments and changes from your first draft)

February 9, 2024 - FINAL PAPER & VISUAL PRODUCT DUE

February 26 - March 7, 2024 - SIGN UP FOR A TIME TO PRACTICE YOUR PRESENTATION WITH MRS. GARDNER

March 11-14 & March 18-21, 2024 - ORAL PRESENTATIONS WITH VISUAL PRODUCT
